Benešova Line - Fort Hanicka

Fort Hanicka was built between 1935 and 1938 as part of the Czechoslovakian border defence line. The main task of this line was to protect the country against a German or Hungarian invasion.

The fort can be divided into the following infantry and artillery casemates:

R-S 76 "Lom"
R-S 77 "Pozorovatelna"
R-S 78 "Na pasece"
R-S 79 "Na mytine"
R-S 79a "U silnice"
R-S 80 "U potucku"

The fort today:
It is currently a military museum. Visitors can participate in guided tours given through the underground tunnel system.
