Memorial Stone Farm Schotanus

This memorial commemorates the rebuilding of the farm Schotanus in 1948.

In an attack by the Germans on 17 March 1945, the farm was set on fire. Ten prisoners from the prison Heerenveense Crack State were executed here.

Their names were:
Jelle Boersma, Hotze Brouwer, Wiepke Hof, Jeen Hornstra, Roelof Knol, Albert Koopman, Thomas Kuurstra, Dirk de Ruiter, Siebe de Ruiter and Yde Yntema.
