Memorial Maquis de Brancion

The Memorial (Maquis de) Brancion is a monument near the chateau in Brancion, in the Saône-et-Loire department.

The memorial commemorates the 107 partisans who defended the freedom of the region with their lives. The names of the 107 fighters, all killed, murdered, tortured and/or deported, are engraved on the monument. Each year a ceremony is held in commemoration of the 107.
