Parachute Regiment Memorial

This memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum commemorates the Parachute Regiment, founded in 1941. The regiment took part in six major parachute assault operations (in North Africa, Italy, Greece, France, the Netherlands and Germany) in World War II.

After the war, the regiment also was involved in a number of conflicts, especially in the Falklands War.
