Mount Isarog

Mount Isarog saw a series of patrol actions by 5th Cavalry en 158th Infantry between 2 and 15 May 1945 after guerrillas informed the XIV about a Japanese force of 2500 soldiers dug in along the slopes of the mountain. This report was proved false and the next day the Bicol Peninsula was declared liberated.
