Italian Bunkers Ponte Dirillo

On a hillridge along the SS115 near Ponte Dirillo are some ten different Italian bunkers on both sides of the road. On this spot the 82nd Airborne Division fought fierce against German and Italian troops on July 10th 1943 during Operation Husky.
The bunkers are free to visit and are maintained by a local volunteer.
