Morn Hill Memorial

Winchester became a major transit location for troops destined for the Western Front during World War I. A large number of barrack huts were built on Morn Hill, Magdalen Hill, Winnall Down and Avington Park. Estimates indicate the camps on Morn Hill could accommodate more than 50,000 soldiers. This remembrance bench commemorates the camp.
