Memorial Explosion 23 June 1943

This memorial commemorates 23 American servicemen and 1 British civilian who were killed on RAF Ridgewell on 23 June 1943 when eleven 300 pound bombs exploded. They were being loaded onto aircraft prior to a bombing mission.
