Widerstandsnest 309 Scheveningen Remnant Wall

Remnant Wall Widerstandsnest 309 Scheveningen.

In the Second World War, the German occupier built Widerstandsnest 309.
This bunker complex was located between Groenhovenstraat and Sint Hubertusweg.
The bunkers in this complex defended the Hauptkampflinie and also the entrance to Stützpunkt Clingendael.
Here the Hauptkampflinie followed the Canal to Scheveningen, which formed a tank ditch with a width of 15 to 18 meters. In addition to the tank ditch, concrete and brick walls were added along the entire length of the Raamweg. The undeveloped parts (such as emerging streets and open areas along the tank ditch) were blocked with concrete walls, the brick walls stood for the ground floor of the buildings along the tank ditch and for a number of bunkers for camouflage.
A dragon's tooth barrier formed the last piece of barrier from the corner of Raamweg – Waalsdorperweg to the Cremerbrug.

The wall is completely overgrown.
