War Memorial Finley

This memorial commemorates the residents of Finley who served their country in wars and conflicts:
New Zealand (Anglo-Maori), Sudan, South Africa (Boer), Boxer Rebellion, First World War, Second World War, Korean War, Malayan Emergency, Indonesian Confrontation, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf and Peacekeeping Operations.

There is also a separate plaque for the Korean War.

The pine tree has grown from seeds of the Lone Pine tree, which became a symbol of the battles in Gallipoli and especially the Battle of Lone Pine in the First World War.
