Memorial Georges Guynemer

Memorial to commemorate the French pilot Georges Guynemer who fought and flew during the First World War. Guynemer was internationally recognised for his air duel with the German hero Ernst Udet. For his accomplishments and his heroic performance he soon got the nickname "Guynemer the legendary".

Guynemer managed to get 53 aerial wins during his career, before he crashed in his Spad air plane on the 11th of September 1917 and died near Poelkapelle, due to an unknown situation.
