St. Mark Church

In October 1941, a bomb fell across the road and the force of the blast was such that the spire had to be taken down. It was rebuilt in 1955.
In January 2023 the church was engulfed in a massive fire which led to the roof collapsing. A large fundraising activity has taken place and the church is being rebuilt again.
