Military Cemetery Truong Son

On this war cemetery or martyrs cemetery (Nghĩa Trang Liệt Sĩ Trường Sơn or Route 9 National Cemetery) in Vĩnh Trường are the graves of soldiers of the People's Army of Vietnam or members of the Vietcong who were killed in the Vietnam War. This war is also known as the Second Indochina War and in Vietnam as the Resistance War Against America or simply the American War. Many of them were PAVN soldiers killed on the 17th parallel north (Bến Hải River) DMZ and on the Trường Sơn "Long Mountain" Annamite Range Trail (known in the West as the "Ho Chi Minh Trail").

It is the largest military cemetery ion Vietnam, with over 12,000 graves.
