Cemetery Victims Srebrenica Massacre

On 11 July 1995 the Bosnian-Serb forces commanded by General Ratko Mladić conquered the town of Srebrenica. A large part of its Muslim men and boys were deported and murdered. This is seen as the biggest genocide in Europe since World War II.
The number of victims is assumed at 8373, who were buried in mass graves. Many of these graves are then discovered and the bodies of te victims were transferred to thiscemetery. There are about 7,000 graves.The green markings are temporary pending an official stone. People are still being found.
At the cemetery, part of the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center, is a monument with the names of the identified victims.
