This well preserved Italian position is situated on a mountainside of the Monte Palon. It is made up of trenches, machinegun posts, observation points, small tunnels and even some barbed wire. The whole complex is several hunderd yards long and can be walked through on the ‘Percorso della Memoria’. Explanatory signs are provided. The view on the Piave and the coastal plain beyond is breathtaking. Wind your way up on the narrow SP141 (Monte Grappa-Pederobba) until you come to a brown sign on the Monte Palon in a hairpin. Take the gravel road leading to a building and a tall cross. Please note that the SP141 can be closed due to bad weather conditions.
