Memorial Polish Pilots

This memorial commemorates two Pilish spitfire-pilots who were killed.
Pilot Officer Boguslaw Mierzwa of 303 Polish Squadron RAF Northolt who "was shot down and killed when his spitfire crashed a few yards from this site on the 16th April 1941".
Pilot Officer Mieczyslaw Waskiewicz who "was shot down and killed when his Spitfire crashed into the sea off Dungeness Point on the 16th April 1941. Pilot and aircraft missing."
