Somerset Light Infantry Memorial Wells Cathedral

The North Transept of Wells Cathedral has a memorial Window and Wall dedicated to the Somerset Light Infantry and all those from Somerset who served in Somerset regiments.
"To the glory of God
and in memory of
Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Buglers and
Private soldiers named above of the 1st Battalion 13th
(1st Somersetshire) Prince Albert's Light Infantry
who were killed or died of wounds received in action
or from the fatigues of service in the South African
War of 1878-79 and to record the history and
campaigns of the regiment from its formation in
AD 1685 up to 1880."
