Memorial Gazelle Helicopter XX377

This memorial commemorates the four crew members of the Gazelle helicopter XX377 who was shot down accidentally on 6 June 1982 by the Royal Navy Type 42 destroyer HMS Cardiff because they thought it was an Argentine C-130 Hercules.

The white rocks at the memorial spell the numbers "205" when they are seen from the air. They refer to 205 Signal Squadron.
