Memorial to the Victims of Fascism Novi Sad

This memorial commemorates the victims of Fascism in World War II.

In 1942, in the Novi Sad region, under the occupier, the mass execution of Serbs, Jews and Roms took place by the Hungarian authorities. This liquidation was called the Novi Sad Raid. It was conducted from January 21 to 23. It is therefore also referred to as the "January Raid". More than 1,300 people were executed and thrown into the Danube graves and some of them went missing during the raid, a total of 4,000 Serbs, Jews and Gypsies.
