Memorial Reconnaissance Unit Erna

On this location, the reconnaisance unit Erna was trained. The unit exists of people who escaped from Estonia after the Soviet occupation and deserted soldiers from Estonia in the Winter War.

The unit was 65 men strong. They were transported into Estonia with aircraft and on motor boats in July 1941. Erna provided important information about enemy troop movements to Finland.
