Memorial Captain Ian North

This memorial in Trinity House Chapel commemorates Captain Ian North an Old Boy of the Hull Trinity House Academy. He was killed when his ship 'Atlantic Conveyor' was hit by two Argentine air-launched Exocet missiles on 25 May 1982 during the Falkland's campaign. The missiles were intended for the aircraft carrier Hermes but locked onto Captain North's vessel instead.
