Lowestoft War Memorial Museum (Royal Naval Patrol Service Museum)

This museum is housed in the World War Two headquarters of the Royal Naval Patrol Service in Sparrows Nest Gardens. The museum is dedicated to all of the people of Lowestoft who served during World War One and World War Two.

This museum is also dedicated to the Royal Naval Patrol Service in many parts of the world during World War II, with photographs and models of many of the ships of R.N.P.S. and much war memorablilia. Lining the walls of the Europa Room are the 17 boards listing the about 850 honours won by members of the R.N.P.S. during the Second World War, including a Victoria Cross, along with a list of over 200 'Mentioned in Despatches'.
