Wronki Prison

This former Prussian prison was stormed and taken over by Polish insurgents on 30 December 1918. It was used as military barracks during the uprising. The German occupation force used the prison for prisoners of war and political prisoners. At least 804 people were killed here or died due to illness and starvation.
