Four Freedoms Memorial

This memorial in the Four Freedoms Park was inspired by the State of the Union of Franklin D. Roosevelt of 6 January 1941:
Freedom of speech and expression
Freedom of worship
Freedom from want
Freedom from fear

It also commemorates Captain Colin P. Kelly Jr., the pilot of the first American B-17 to be shot down in combat, on 10 December 1941.
