Memorial Hill 705

This memorial commemorates the victims of the fights for Hill 705 (Cota 705). This was part of the Battle of the Ebro (25 July to 16 November 1938), which was the longest and largest battle of the Spanish Civil War.

This memorial specifically commemorates the 43rd Republican Division which fought on 25 July 1938 in the Battle of the Ebro and the British volunteers who fought in the International Brigades on the Republican side and who were killed in the Battle of the Ebro.
