Memorial Carl-Birger Kvikant

This plaque commemorates Captain Carl-Birger Kvikant. He was awarded the Mannerheim-Cross on 26 June 1944 when he attacked as tank-commander with a gun with blocked elevation. Therefor is was only possible to use when the tank stood on a downwards slope so the weaker upside was visible. He was killed by a direct hit on the turret.
