War Memorial Grantorto

This memorial commemorates the residents of Grantorto who were killed or missing in the First World War and the Second World War.
Next to it is a memorial (Caduti per la Pace) at the final resting place of Carabiniere Denis Frison, a veteran of many overseas missions in Kosovo, Albania and Afghanistan who died on 6 July 2006, after a brave battle against a terrible disease and 1st Sgt. Michael S. Curry Jr. who died on 23 July 2007, in Afghanistan, while serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
