Former Mass Grave Cementerio de Torrero

On this location on the Cementerio de Torrero, under the pavement, was a mass grave with hundreds of victims of the Spanish Civil War and the following era.
Throughout Spain are, mostly on cemeteries, still hundreds of mass graves, with Republican soldiers or victims who were executed by the nationalists, that have not been opened and examined yet. Most are not even recognizable as a tomb, only the location is known.
