Gasmata Airfield
This airfield was captured by the Japanese Navy No. 2 Maizuru Special Naval Landing Force in the night of 8-9 February 1942. It was bombed in the period 1943-1944 and abandoned by the Japanese Army around March 1944. U.S. Forces demined the site in April 1944.
