Soviet Garrison Cemetery Dresden

The Soviet garrison cemetery of Dresden contains the burials of 2,268 Soviet soldiers, prisoners of war and forced laborers, of whom 50 woman and 80 children. The cemetery was established as collective cemetery for Soviet fallen in the region of Dresden. The cemetery was also used for the burials of soldiers of the Soviet occupation force.

The incription on the 17 meters high obelisk reads:
"Eternal fame to the heroes who fell for the freedom and independence of their fatherland. 1941-1945"
