Street sign Lancaster Approach

This sign or monument honours the Lancaster crew RAF Lancaster UM-K2 DV 177 of 626 Squadron Wickenby. The crew members are also honoured by having roads named after them on this new housing development, directly opposite an existing memorial.

The main road leading into the estate called ‘Lancaster Approach’ has a metal silhouette of a Lancaster bomber over it as shown. This, along with the ‘Lancaster Approach’ road sign was unveiled last April (2016).
