Memorial Zeebrugge Raid

The Zeebrugge Raid, on 23 April 1918, was a British assault on the ports of Zeebrugge and Oostende with the goal to block the channel, so that German U-boats were unable to exit.
The attack on Zeebrugge is commemorated each year by the British on 23 April, Saint George's Day.
