Defence Points Kirkstall

Part of the wall surrounding the Kirkstall Forge are two sets of loop holed defence positions / strongpoints. They are built as platforms behind and rising above the line of the wall on the S side of the A65 road, defending Kirkstall Forge. Basically the structures are located where the worker would enter the site and are English bonded brick built towers with loopholes to allow small arms fire and are roofless.
