Pemberton's Headquarters

The headquarters of the Confederate General John C. Pemberton during the Siege of Vicksburg from 18 May to 4 July 1863 and the site where he decided to surrender the city to Union General Ulysses S. Grant, is now a museum. It is known as "Pemberton's Headquarters" or "Willis-Cowan House" and is a part of the Vicksburg National Military Park.
