Ambrose Everett Burnside Memorial

This memorial, in Burnside Park, commemorates the Northern general Ambrose Everett Burnside (1824-1881). He suffered high losses in the Battle of Fredericksburg but remained general ánd popular throughout the American Civil War (1861-1865).
