Roseburg National Cemetery

The National Cemeteries in the U.S.A. are used for graves of war dead, graves of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their spouses but not exclusively so. There are also special state veteran cemeteries.

Roseburg National Cemetery was opened in 1897. There are over 6,100 graves on this cemetery.


Roseburg National Cemetery contains the graves of the following people, who fought for the United States of America and who gave their lives in the War in Afghanistan and/or Operation Enduring Freedom:

15 April 2009 , Private 1st Class Richard Allen "Rick" Dewater, aged 21
28 November 2009 , Petty Officer 3rd Class David M. Mudge, aged 22


Roseburg National Cemetery contains the graves of the following people, who fought for the United States of America and who gave their lives in the War in Iraq and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom:

4 October 2006 , Private 1st Class Dean Robert Bright, aged 32
28 January 2008 , Private 1st Class Joshua Anthony Richard Young, aged 21
26 January 2005 , Corporal James Lee Moore, aged 24
