Charles Upham (VC and Bar) Statue

Charles Upham is:

One of only three people ever to be awarded two Victoria Crosses.
The only combat soldier to be awarded two VCs (the other two were medics).
The only person to be awarded two VCs in WWII (the two medics were from WWI) .
The only person to be alive to receive them both (the two medics died earning theirs...).

His exploits are recorded in a book by Kenneth Sanford - "The Mark of the Lion".
