Certificate of Merit (RHSA)

This award is presented by the Royal Humane Society of Australasia and "honours selfless acts of courage and compassion where the risk to life was present, though not severe".

The certificate was produced by Fergusson & Mitchell, a Melbourne-based engraving, lithography, and printing organization established in 1858. It features cream paper in a rectangular format, with a decorative border and headings. The text is both printed and handwritten in pen and ink, and it bears the letterhead of The Royal Humane Society of Australasia. The material consists of waxed paper, measuring 25.5 centimetres in length and 13.5 centimetres in width.

Sometimes the certificate was accompanied by a bronze medal from the RHSA.
