|2||Lord Younger visted the Regt.|
|3-4||Regt took part in programme of trng in cooperation with inf of 15(S) Div (programme att'd). On 4 May, two short exercises were carried out on THURSLEY COMMON. Wading trials were carried out during the week.||A|
|8||Waterproofing A & B vehicles was started (Stage I) and occupied a great deal of our days.|
|18||The Corps Comd visited the unit & met all offrs & NCO's down to [...]sjt. He also lectured to the bde.|
|19-27||Waterproofing & modifications continued; [ ] received at intervals.|
|25||A party of 70 went to join [ ] 8 Corps tps in an inspection parade for Gen. Eisenhower who addressed the parade in an [ ] speech.|
|28||The regt, having officially been concentrated twice 16 May, was at 6 hours notice to move from 0900 hrs 28.|
|29||Firefly's wave fired in at BEACHY HEAD. 3 AA tks arrived.|
|30||[ ] of stores & amn was inspected as far as possible; the GOC inspected both A & B vehs & was well satisfied. Weather exceptionally hot in last week of month shirt sleve order was [ ]. Men still allowed out of barracks after 1800 hrs each day.|
