Biography

The 45th Infantry Division was formed on August 3rd, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Originally the unit had an emblem with a yellow swastika on a red square. with the rise of nazism and the use of the swastika by the Nazi's, in 1939 the emblem was changed. The 45th Infantry Division was during World War 2 active in Sicily, Italy, Southern France, the Rhineland and Germany.
