Biography

30.05.1942-31.05.1942: Leutnant, 1./ NJG 1, KIA - his Bf 110 G coded 'G9+BH' was shot down 3 km North of Straelen near Kaldenkirchen and buried at Arnhem
His ac took enemy fire while opposing a bomber raid on Köln.
Both he and his R/O, Gefreiter Heinz Thomas (born 01.07.1919 in Essen), were killed in the crash.
Gefreiter Heinz Thomas is also buried at Ysselsteyn, Block BN Reihe 2 Grab 43.
