Capt Basgallop (O i/c Residue) opens up Admin Report Centre at LE MEZNIL AZOUF (740468). Capt Browne marshals remainder of Residue personnel and vehicles prior to move. Coy moves to new location (782368) at 1500 hrs. Residue move to there location immediately afterwards. AP moves three times during the day and finishes up at 938238. OC visited AP and Residues location. Enemy air activity during the night. Flares but no bombs were dropped.

21 August 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Replenishment column left coy location and opened at MR 278193. Coy moved to location ÉCOUCHE 185164 at 0730 hrs. Refill made from mobile FMC. AP moved to location 492458. Replenishment vehicles marshalled under Capt Basgallop and moved to harbour area overnight.

28 August 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Capt. Davey member of FGCM. Capt Basgallop reports to CRASC 0330 hrs as recce officer. 6 vehicles detached to 147 Fd Pk. Sqn RE. 2030 hrs coy moved to new location (Div concentration area)

29 August 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Arrived new locn CHAMPENARD 3467. No replenishment. Orders to move again received. Capt. Basgallop recce officer. Coy moved 2100 hrs.

9 September 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Rep Pt opened at 1230 hrs at MR 9967. Closed at 1345 hrs. Coy receives orders to move. Capt. Basgallop recce officer. Coy moves 1630 hrs arrives new location complete 2200 hrs. Location now 9163. AFW3008 and 3009 rendered to GHQ 2nd Echelon.

19 September 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Message received from Capt Basgallop (O i/c/ 15/19 Hussars detachment) asking for replacement spares for vehs damaged enemy action. Spars sent but found unnecessary when later attack completely destroyed vehs concerned and several others.

25 September 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Normal replenishment. Orders to send out recce party received. Capt. Basgallop sent. Coy prepares to move at one hour notice finally receives orders to move after replenishment columns the following day. Replenishment columns marshalled for early move.

11 October 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Recce officier (Capt. Basgallop) meets CRASC representative at X-rds BAKEL with “caretaker” party. Coy prepares to move as at 0700 hrs next day. Honey tank given to coy for protection infanterie ops.

18 October 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
1 NCO and 5 men proceed on short leave to BRUSSELS for 48 hours. Capt. Basgallop recces new area. No sigh of movement of 15(S) Div units.

18 December 1944 WO 171/2401 - 171 Company
Lieut. Mackellar leaves 0800 hrs with first party. Remainder of company leave at short intervals throughout the day. Entire company, less 3x6 ton ADOS vehicles under Capt Gainsford, in new location by 2200 hrs. Capt Basgallop remains to collect Xmas canteens goods from BIS at GERWEN.
