Amery Menno J.K.W. baron de Girard de Milet van Coehoorn, born January 16, 1896 in Made (N.Br.), lieutenant in the Corps Engineers, rubber and tobacco planter, was captured on March 8, 1942 northeast of Batavia, in Tjimahi (West Java) and lost his life in the sinking of the Junyo Maru on September 18, 1944 west of Benkoelen, off the west coast of Sumatra. Father of 1 son and 1 daughter.
