    Biography

    Peter Ingelse was a general practitioner in Bleskensgraaf and Wijngaarden. As a doctor, he was very active in the resistance in the Alblasserwaard, treating wounded resistance fighters and crew members of Allied aircraft that were shot down. In the village of Wijngaarden the Dr. Ingelsestraat is named after him.
