aka LUCIEN, aka Georges Henri HOLLENAU

While hiding from Germans in a barn near Dole,Jura was killed by random shot or commited suicide by taking a cyanid capsule.

"This officer was parachuted into the Jura in March 1944 to take over a circuit whose organiser had been arrested and which was in the process of dissolution. De St. Genies reorganised and developed the circuit, forming a number of sabotage teams which carried out concerted attacks on enemy communications on D-Day.

After D-Day de St. Genies led his men in a number of guerilla actions against enemy garrisons and road convoys. He showed leadership and courage of a high order, and was killed in action towards the end of June.

It is recommended that this Officer be Mentioned in Despatches (posthumous award)."
