Flying Officer in the Belgian Air Force. Son of Paul Victor Jean Ferdinand Marie Gendebien and Ghislaine Marie Caroline Irénée Louise Octavie Jeanne Gendebien née Pirmez. Married to Guillemine Xavière Dymphne Carton de Wiart.

Escaped early in the war via Spain to England. Served there as a fighter pilot with the Belgian 349 Fighter Squadron of the RAF. Killed in action on Sunday 19 November 1944 when his Spitfire, registration NH241 G-E, was shot down by anti-aircraft fire near Liendert (now Amersfoort).
