Flt. Sgt. Francis Joseph Menshek

He was the pilot of the Wellington bomber Z8409 PH-H, which was shot down by a German night fighter on its way back from a bombing raid on the Krupp factories in Essen (Germany) and crashed on a duck decoy in Dreumel.
Five of the six crew members were killed.
He was buried on March 11, 1942, in the parsonage garden next to the Roman Catholic St. Petrus Church in Uden.
He was reburied on June 21, 1946, at the British War Cemetery in Uden.

Duder, Warren, and Wood were initially buried as unknowns and identified in mid-1942.
They were the first to be buried in the rectory garden.
Sgt. G. Macey was seriously wounded and taken prisoner of war.
