Sgt. Andrew Martin Wallace
8th Bn. The Royal Scots, The Royal Regiment, 44 Lowland Brigade, 15 Scottish Division
He was seriously wounded at approximately 16:00 by shots to the back in the Boskant-Liempde area during an unexpected German counterattack. This was after a two-hour pause in the fighting to allow the Germans to remove their wounded and dead from the combat zone. He was placed on a stretcher in the open field and died there half an hour later. He was buried in a field grave near the Van Kessel residence, together with G.H. Roe and A. Woolass.
He was reburied on 12 June 1946 at the British War Cemetery in Uden.
