Biography

Husband of Elizabeth Gibb Fisher Keenan from Box Hill, Tadworth, Surrey. Sergeant, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Vickers Wellington HE545 AS-H, RAF 166 Squadron.

Killed in action after his aircraft was shot down by a German night fighter during a mission to Bochum and crashed near Schaarsbergen. David Keenan is buried at the Moscowa Cemetery in Arnhem. The inscription on his gravestone reads: “IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR HUSBAND DAVID. ALWAYS REMEMBERED”.
