William Bredin joined the British Columbia Dragoons as a 2nd Lieutenant on August 28, 1935, serving with B Squadron in Kelowna before World War II. He was one of the judges in the Kurt Meyer trial. He served as Vice Judge Advocate General with DJAG 3 Increment "B" (Canadian Army Occupation Force), part of the Canadian JAG Overseas.
